NAF Committee Minutes 7th August 2016
Present: Sann (MD), Gaixo (NB), Rotersternhochdahl (JS), Tojurub (TB), plus Elyoukey (LL) for the first point.

1) Website development
Steve had been working on a social media website using Joomla. Still in early development. Elyoukey needs to know what the NAF wants to put into place.
Need to prioritise.
– The highest priority is to stabilise the current database:
o MD/NB to put together a list of what has gone wrong with the database
– Then looking at how to improve the database, the priorities are:
o More variant rankings (highest priority – Dungeonbowl 7s)
o Fumbbl rankings (if possible to be separate from existing)
o New races
If the rankings are moved to a new system, the priority is being able to analyse them in different ways (e.g. annually, by variant etc).
TB/JS mentioned that the person who put together the German website might be interested in joining the NAF team, and LL has contacts in France as well and will put together a team once he is back from holidays. LL shared the Trello, which is a wishlist for development.
“Membership philosophy” needs to be returned to once the technology is more developed.
MD updated LL on the new box set.
2) Treasurer Report
PG still looking into NFP status. The NAF made a 2000 Euros payment to the previous developers of the website and tournament software to end the contract.
3) Membership Director
TB discussed the trophies, and will send a picture this week. Lordillo says the Spanish community are happy with them.
2016 Gift needs to be distributed to some people still. MD to follow up with PG/Lycos, and look into the surplus NAFC gifts for charitable purposes.
4) Tournament Director
Amorical Cup awarded to Richmond, VA, June 3-4 2017 for the American Team tournament. The NAF may provide a loan if needed. This will not be a Major in terms for ranking. Last one was 4 years ago. Trying to make it a more regular event.
Now that the bidding for the Amorical Cup is concluded, we will move forward on the bid process for the 2019 World Cup.
MD to look into getting a central stash of surplus BB tournament goods for charitable donations.
MD/NB to prepare a statement regarding rules for 2017 tournaments.
5) League Director
Jonas still finding his way into the role. Steve still working on NAFLM. Goal in general of development is to move everything to the front end.
6) GW/Cyanide
60k Human Catcher has been seen on pictures of the new rulebook. This is in line with the stated GW position of possible changes to rosters but the core rules staying the same. Once the new set is out either roster will be able to be NAF sanctioned, the choice will be up to Tournament Organisers.
7) AOB
MD is talking to Tiebreak regarding using their website with BB tournaments.
MD is working on a new spreadsheet for scoring tournaments, particularly those with bonus points for “team wins” in preparation for Eurobowl.
