Half Way Update

2:30 on Saturday, half way through Round 5, and it’s time for a few updates! We have just had the first redraw, though as the draw was published 25 minutes early and it pretty much only affected the top tables, it was spotted and dealt with within 5 minutes.  In fact, the draw had not even been announced, but people can find it when the app tells them an upload is available!  Clever stuff.

Starting with the top 10 group tables, the group fixtures look like this:

Table Home Away
1 The Linemen Lutece Noobz
7 Team Waterbowl Parabellum Joker
13 Azes Tech The Holy Six
19 Team Hellhound Blueyard Carnage Crew
25 Tana dei Bidoni Los Favoritos
31 Mas Galactikos Los ayudantes de Santa Claws
37 Joe le taxi Masters of Tilea
43 Kick’Azes Turone Bashlords
49 Luccini Les Déchus
55 Pilous Team NRW

Spain vs France on top table, and England v Spain below them.  Mas Galactigos dropped down after a defeat by the Linemen, and Waterbowl bounced back to the top tables.  Joe le Taxi and Masters of Tilea on table 37 onwards features two of the early favourite teams – could one of them be “submarining” for a second half charge to the title, or have they left it too late?

Individually, we now have 21 coaches on 4 wins, and as it is a team tournament these coaches will not necessarily be playing each other, so this number could stay high.  The first tiebreaker is net TD + net Cas, so the individual standings look like this (apologies for formatting problems!).

# Race Coach Score Tiebreaker TD Cas
1 Lizardman Doowa (Blueyard Carnage Crew,Denmark) 12 20 10 1 14 3

Some of those coaches also feature inevitably in the most TDs, but we have seen some 6-0 wins so some with fewer points have made it on to this top 10!

Heartsbane (BB4Fun,United Kingdom) 11

Moving on to the important one, who has been beating up people the most?  Necromunda is leading the pack here with his Piling On Ogres, and a massive 30 in 4 game, with Draco’s very similar team hot on his heels!

necromunda (Team SlowPlay,Italy) 30
Draco (Beppe’s Barbarians,Netherlands) 26
Kuei-Jin (Hakkaa P??lle!,Germany) 21
Legoman (Euskal Turnover,France) 19
Silkoun (Azes Tech,France) 18
rascal (CMMF,Monaco) 18

What of the little guys?  Casper’s Goblins are in 199th place, Knaegten’s Ogres in 404th and Jeguan’s Halflings in 447th, so the greenskins are winning that battle at the moment.  A long way to go however!
