NAF Committee Meeting of 3 January, 2021

• Database

Database update scheduled to be implemented. Rankings mirrored and split. New races added. Just waiting on green light from IT crew.

 

• 2021 Tournaments

Request of extension for Amorical Cup. No objections from committee

EuroBowl currently still planning to run this year. Will be monitored.

Dungeon Bowl cancelled for 2021

Eucalyptus Bowl scheduled for April 2021

 

• 24 Patches

Have received requests to extend the completion time. At this stage, with the advent of new races, the committee feels as though the 24/25/26 program has lost some of its relevance. The 2021 deadline for completion will remain in place; orders to be placed for new stock at the conclusion of the year. A small amount of excess stock will be carried, after which no more patches will be ordered.

 

• Tournament Series badges

Up for review. Holding for TD election

 

• Elections

TD election process has commenced. Purplegoo has declined re-nomination.

 

• World Cup 2023

Some early interest from potential organising committees. As well as early requests for World Cup to be pushed back. At this stage the committee feels it is too far out to consider a postponement while acknowledging the current difficult climate, booking venues etc. Still formulating a bid document, but no commitment for a release at this time.

 

• Gifts

Massimo just awaiting some proofs on final design.

This one deserves its own entry. It is with heartfelt thanks the Committee on behalf of themselves and the entire NAF community thank Phil for all his hard work and contributions to Blood Bowl over the years as Tournament Director. These are big shoes to fill for the incoming TD. The committee thanks Phil most of all for his calm logic, his tournament expertise and just how available he has been to us all throughout his tenure. He, along with the team he has developed, has definitely streamlined the job for his successor. Thankyou Purplegoo.
