Meeting Minutes of Committee Meeting on Sunday, December 16, 2018
Meeting started at 21:00 CET
1. Club Status (Pr/VP)
– Sign-up bug on Website/ Addition to Webmaster team:
Massimo brought in Jump from the Forlí League to the Webmaster team to help Jose with the Sign-up Bug. Tiago will be contacted after the TD elections are done to sort the issue.
– TD Election:
There are two candidates for the Tournament Director position: Purplegoo and Flickcom, both from England
2. League Director Report (LD)
– There were a couple of issues reported, e.g. the League Manager owns all the teams, which makes it impossible for the other coaches to manage their teams. Jump will look into this issue after the sign-up bug is resolved
– League Commissioners start asking about the usage of Starplayers, since they use the NAF tourney documents as guideline for their leagues. It was discussed that the Leagues can/should freely make their own decision on which Starplayers they allow, but the committee feels flattered that the NAF documents have such strong impact in the Leagues as well.
3. Membership Director Report (MD)
– 2019 gifts were sent to Paul, Torsten will pick his share up at UKTC, Massimo at the NAFC
– some of 2018 tokens were missing/wrongfully distributed, Torsten has ask distribution centers to give feedback on their whereabouts.
4. Tournament Director Report (TD)
– In November there were 76 tourney approvals, incl. 3 Sevens and 1 Dungeonbowl,
– The Annual Review documents will be updated due to some smaller mistakes, Oventas Tournament Document will be published
– Automation of the Glicko Rankings will be put on the To-Do list for the webmaster
– The Database issues seem to get worse and the only solution right now is to perform a recalculation of the entire database. But this is needed now in much more frequent intervals.
– A database backup needs to be done asap.
5. Treasurer Report (Tr)
– Currently about 12,000 GBP in the accounts, Word Cup still has a loan of 12,000 EUR
– 30,000 GBP can be put towards IT issues in about 12 months time
6. World Cup Report (VP)
– Current sing-ups at 805 coaches. Registrations are picking up in December.
7. Any other business (all)
– LD Election is coming up and committee set the following dates for the election:
Jan 19: Nomination phase start
Jan 27: Nomination phase end, Q&A phase start
Feb 3: Election phase start, polls open
Feb 10: Election phase end, polls close, Announcement of elected LD
