Blood Bowl stadium by Lyricoz

Alsabowl 2013 032

Lyricoz has made a beautiful Blood Bowl stadium, with lots of amazing details.  He has made a full blog about his work, which those lucky enough to speak French can access directly.  You could also use the Google Translate version, but I’ve done an edited highlights package here for your delectation – enjoy!

Lyricoz recently took the finished stadium to Alsabowl, where it won the best stadium competition – it was the only one, but still well deserved!

Blood Bowl

Did you know: The toilets were placed in the second position of the “most dangerous places in a stage of support for Blood Bowl” by Epic! magazine. Indeed, after the stands, toilets are generally the place where you “lose” the most viewers. The pit allowing various ogres, trolls or minotaurs … to relieve themselves is so great that it is not uncommon to see a stunty to fall into it by mistake (or not) … needless to say, nobody usually survives.

Blood Bowl

Did you know: Most races attending Blood Bowl matches can’t read. This has no impact on their ability to support their favourite teams and players, but some unscrupulous cashiers stage took the opportunity to rip off the spectators due to their inability to read the quoted price of the entrance ticket. This is a  lucrative but short-lived market until the victim notices and performs another kind of rip-off! That is why it is often useful to come later to the stadium to take advantage of the “lack of cashier” free entry!

With large stadiums, transporting is often a problem, and this stadium fits nicely into these boxes:

BB coffers

Mounted on wheels for easy transport, the two crates take the two halves of the stadium.  The edges of the two cases are protected by strong yet lightweight aluminum. A system of wheels and a handle make it easy to move, and the two boxes are stacked on top of each other for easy transport in a car boot.  Six small rubber feet help raise the cash on the table to remove the half of the field, and in order to transport the teams to the field, a small slot has been installed in each box, designed to take a team case.

Hopefully you enjoyed seeing the pics, do check out the blog, and maybe this will inspire you to make your own stadium.  For more custom stadia, there is a whole thread on TFF.

  1. What can I say but wow. You are a total nutcase, spending massive money and time on something that is probably worth a tenth of the effort you have put into it! Are you a fool who wastes his time and money or a GOD that is up their with The Lord Nuffle?
In my humble opinion I salute you! This is what makes the NAF community what it is, brilliant people doing stupid but wonderful things in the name of bloodbowl. I look forward to playing against you at a tournament and I want to use you pitch.
    You are my hero!
