NAF Minutes March 16

19th March, 2100 CET

Present: Paul Gegg, Mike Davies, Nate Beem, Steve Arthurs

24 Patches

Bill Murphy has produced patches for those who have played all 24 races. The NAF will buy these off him for those who have not received them and will distribute them.

New NAF trophy, or new mould for existing one

Nate is going to look into getting a replacement trophy, likely to be to the same design but of a higher quality, as the mould for the old trophies is getting worn out.

Level of access for Guest/Participant/Member on the new NAF site

Mike to put a suggestion together, others can then critique it, before a final decision is made on the level of access that you can get by signing in or by paying to be a Member. Mike to work through the requirements document over Easter.  Feedback still requested through the RTO section of the NAF Forum.

Timescale of Tournament Director election

Reminder that the next TD election will be for a three-year term, so that there are two elections a year. The TD election will be from May 1st, with a week for nominations, a week of Q&A then a week for voting, with the Q&A continuing. There was discussion about it coinciding with the NAFC, but as that is just for nominations opening, it was not seen as a problem.

New Italian Regional Co-ordinator

Rolex has requested that Luca “zio_kirie” Frattali be added for Central Italy to cover some events he can’t reach. Unanimously agreed.

Committee Structure

In light of 2015’s charter changes and in reflection of much personnel churn in the recent months, a proposal to realign the committee structure and processes will be prepared as part of the ongoing NAF review, including what functions should be performed by appointed officers and who is required to attend meetings. Mike will lead this review and consult with all impacted staff before the proposal is discussed at the next meeting.

Next meeting

TBC, depending on the website. Three website documents required for ratification.
