NAF Newsletter 19

The email version looked nicer, but the info is the same!

VOL 19 – JUNE 2014       View Online               Translate
Hi all,
after taking May off the newsletter, there is lots to read in this one!  Those of you who follow the Facebook and Twitter feeds or visit thenaf.net regularly will be aware of a lot of this already, but do have a look in case there are nuggets you have missed!  Thenaf.net has had a bit of revamp, to give it a smart homepage and to take account of use on mobile devices, so keep an eye on the Articles page for all the new stories that appear.  Otherwise, read on!
                                                                                       – Mike (sann0638)
160 coaches headed to Nottingham for the NAFC in May, won by Sizzler’s Undead (with Jervis Johnson, right), and those who went have written a whole load of good stuff!  We have:

  • A match report on the NAF final
  • A lamentable Goblin performance
  • An amazing Nurgle team
  • NAF mugs
  • An overview of the whole tournament
  • The final standings, and all the round by round match ups
  • Lots of nice photos, with more to come
To see all of the above visit the Articles page, and while you are there you’ll find reports on German and American tournaments and all the ARBBL results you’ll ever need!  As well as thenaf.net, articles from the NAFC have appeared elsewhere – read about JT-Y’s best painted team on the NAF forum, and the Halfing challenge on TFF.  Also, you can hear Chance talk about his trip to NAFC on Three Die Block!
More tournaments appearing all the time, click the link above for the full list!  Picking out some of the biggest, Lutece is this weekend in France so the sun is shining, Zlurpeebowl in the US has sold out with 60, and the Eurobowl organising team has been working hard sorting out the biggest Blood Bowl party of the year – head to eurobowl.eu! Also, some enterprising Tournament Organisers have been sending in their advertising banners – these are all appearing on thenaf.net and on the Bloodbowl Community group on Facebook.
This is pretty much the fullest newsletter ever, so thank you so much to everyone who has contributed!  Hopefully all of them found it easy, so get in touch if you feel inspired to put fingers to keyboard after reading any of the above.  We can always advertise writing in other places too, such as these blogs in the NAF Fanzone!
We have a new Tournament Director, Gaixo!  That winds up the NAF Election round for a while, so now’s a great time to give feedback about the election process in case there’s anything you think should change.
Bit of a trip down memory lane this one possible, but a while ago LordChaos wrote some Blood Bowl cartoons – I hadn’t seen them recently, but they surfaced on Fumbbl, and there were certainly a few smiles to be has, so worth a revisit!
