ARBBL House Rules

arbblARBBL are based in Andover in the South of England, and play a few different house rules in their leagues and tournaments.

Darkson has written previously about ARBBL Does Chaos and ARBBL have also been to the pub (ARBBL goes to the Pub)! In addition, their tournaments have a couple of quirks.  The ARBBL Pick n Mix rules mean taking one race on Saturday and a different one on Sunday, and the ARBBL Open has a 4-player Pumpkinbowl for the teams that are bottom after 5 games (below).  This is often a stunty affair, but all sorts of races have featured!

  1. For a quicker game (which is what we use during the actual tournament) replace the Injuries section with the following:

    Injuries: Stunned players are left on the field as normal. Any injury sustained worse than Stun is counted as Dead. Apothecaries can be used as normal. Undead/Necromantic may only gain one Zombie, not one per opposing team.”

  2. A couple of things we realised we missed out of the rules linked to above.

    #1 – Re-rolls: We have played both with and without rerolls. Basically it comes down to whether you want a quicker, more error-strewn game or not.

    #2 – The Walls: You might not use the walls, but if you do, we play that any player pushed into them (even on just a Push symbol) is knocked prone and adds +1 to the AV roll (getting pushed into a wall hurts!).
